Privacy Policy

Service operator: Shenzhen Ordinary Jar Network Technology Co., Ltd. (深圳市平常罐子网络科技有限公司)

This document applies to Cuto services provided through cutowallpaper.com. “Cuto”, “we” and “us” mean this operator. Previous purchases and submissions remain governed by the agreement and transaction or submission records accepted at the time; visiting this page does not change the contracting party.

This policy applies to Cuto Wallpaper products and services provided by the operator identified above. Operator information and language versions last updated: October 2, 2026.

This policy explains how we collect and use information, use cookies and app permissions, share and transfer information, protect it, respond to your rights, handle children’s information, store and transfer information internationally, update this policy and contact you. Account deletion is described in Section 5.

We recognize the importance of your information and work to protect it through accountability, clear purposes, consent, data minimization, security, individual participation and transparency. Please read this policy before using our products or services.

1. How we collect and use your information

Information collected while you use our services

We collect and use information for the functions described in this policy and to provide services. You can choose whether to provide it, but without necessary information we may be unable to provide the related function or respond to a problem.

Information you provide or that is necessary to provide services may include account nickname, password, password recovery options, email address, telephone number, location, device information and installed-app information. We use relevant information to create accounts and provide check-in sharing, search and publishing services.

Information you provide may continue to be used while you use the service. When you stop using push services, we stop using and delete the corresponding information.

We de-identify or anonymize collected information as required by law. Information that cannot identify a person on its own or with other information is not personal information. If we combine it with information that identifies you, we treat it as personal information for the duration of that use.

If changes in services, technology or business require processing outside this policy’s scope or for a new purpose, we will inform you within a reasonable period after collection or before processing and obtain your authorization and consent as required.

To the extent permitted by applicable laws and standards, processing without consent may be allowed where it is directly connected with national security or defense; public security, public health or major public interests; criminal investigation, prosecution, trial or enforcement; protecting life, property or other major interests when consent is difficult to obtain; information you made public; lawful public sources such as news or government disclosures; entering into or performing a contract at your request; maintaining service security and stability, including diagnosing faults; lawful reporting by a news organization; public-interest statistical or academic research with de-identified published results; or another statutory exception. These exceptions apply only within the limits of applicable law.

2. Cookies and basic app permissions

Cookies

We store small cookie files on your computer or mobile device to help the website operate. They may contain identifiers, site names and other characters and can store browsing preferences. We do not use cookies for purposes outside this policy. You may manage or delete them, clear stored cookies or block them in your browser. Blocking them may require you to reset preferences on each visit.

Web beacons and pixel tags

We may use similar technologies, including links in emails that track clicks to understand preferences and improve service. Transparent web beacons or email pixels can indicate whether a message was opened. You may unsubscribe from our mailing list if you do not want this activity tracked.

Do Not Track

Many browsers send Do Not Track requests. Although a common website-response standard has not been established, our website respects your choice when your browser enables it.

Basic app permissions

  • Wallpaper settings: SET_WALLPAPER allows the app to set system wallpaper.
  • Storage: WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE saves images to external storage.
  • Network: INTERNET retrieves wallpaper data.
  • Battery optimization: the app may request exemption from system battery optimization to improve automatic wallpaper changes.
  • Notifications: POST_NOTIFICATIONS allows messages such as successful wallpaper-setting notifications.

Background tasks and startup

For functions you enable, such as automatic wallpaper changes, the app uses Android background scheduling, including Jetpack WorkManager. When you enable automatic wallpaper changes or progress-bar wallpaper, updates may run in the background at your chosen times or according to task rules. WorkManager may restore and reschedule existing tasks after system events such as a device restart.

This is used only to maintain functions you enabled, not to launch the app without a legitimate purpose or collect unrelated personal information. When you disable automatic wallpaper changes, the app stops the corresponding background wallpaper tasks.

3. Sharing, transfer and public disclosure

Sharing

We do not share your information with other companies, organizations or individuals except:

  1. With your explicit consent.
  2. When required by law or a mandatory government request.
  3. With affiliated companies, limited to necessary information and the purposes in this policy. A change of purpose requires renewed consent.
  4. With authorized partners needed to provide services and improve experience, for lawful, legitimate, necessary, specific and clear purposes and limited to what is needed.

Where permitted by applicable law and with the required authorization, we and authorized partners may use information to improve technology and services or for other disclosed services and purposes. The existing partner disclosures are:

  • AppCenter: analytics; device identifiers, app usage, app settings and crash diagnostics. Provider information.
  • RevenueCat: subscription management and analytics; anonymous user identifiers, subscription relationships and installed-app information. Privacy policy.

Transfer

We do not transfer information to another company, organization or individual except with explicit consent, or in a merger, acquisition or bankruptcy process. A new holder must remain bound by this policy or obtain renewed consent.

Public disclosure

We disclose information publicly only with explicit consent or when required by law, legal proceedings, litigation or a mandatory government request.

To the extent permitted by applicable law and standards, consent exceptions for sharing, transfer or disclosure may concern national security or defense; public security, public health or major public interests; criminal proceedings and enforcement; protecting life, property or major interests when consent is difficult to obtain; information you made public; or lawful public sources. They do not override applicable mandatory protections.

4. How we protect your information

We use industry-standard safeguards against unauthorized access, disclosure, use, modification, damage and loss. Reasonable measures include SSL/HTTPS, encryption, trusted protective mechanisms, access controls and staff security and privacy training.

We take reasonable steps to avoid collecting irrelevant information and retain it only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. The internet is not completely secure. If you communicate through email, messaging or other channels, take care to protect personal information.

We periodically update and publish security-risk and personal-information impact-assessment information through our website and email notices.

No system can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password and consider carefully whether to disclose information publicly. If a security incident occurs, we will inform you as required about its nature and impact, the measures taken or planned, steps you can take and available remedies. We may use email, letters, telephone, push notifications or a reasonable public notice if individual contact is difficult. We also report incident handling to regulators when required.

5. Your rights

Subject to applicable law and standards, you have the following rights.

Access

You may access your information, including through the profile page in the app, unless a legal exception applies. If access through the product is unavailable, contact hi@cutowallpaper.com; we normally respond to access requests within 30 days. For other information generated during use, we provide access where doing so does not require disproportionate effort.

Correction

You may ask us to correct inaccurate information through the access methods above or by contacting us. We normally respond to correction requests within 30 days.

Deletion

You may request deletion if processing violates law, collection or use lacks required consent, processing breaches our agreement, you stop using the service or delete your account, or we stop providing the service. We evaluate the request and take appropriate steps. We may verify your identity to protect the account. Legal and technical requirements may delay removal from backups; we protect the information until it can be cleared or anonymized.

Some information is necessary for each function. For additional collection and use, you may grant or withdraw consent by contacting us. Withdrawal stops processing based on that consent and may prevent related services. It does not affect lawful processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Account deletion

You may request deletion of your account by emailing hi@cutowallpaper.com. After deletion, we stop providing the related products or services and delete personal information unless retention is required by law.

Obtain a copy

You may request a copy of your information by emailing hi@cutowallpaper.com. Where technically feasible, we can provide it to you or directly to a designated third party in an appropriate format.

Automated decisions

If an automated information system makes a decision that significantly affects your rights, you may request an explanation and we will provide an appropriate way to resolve the issue.

Responding to requests

We may require a written request or identity verification. We normally respond within 30 days, and you may complain by emailing hi@cutowallpaper.com if dissatisfied. Reasonable requests are generally free. Repetitive or excessive requests may incur reasonable costs where lawful. We may decline requests that are unjustifiably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, threaten others’ rights or are impractical, within applicable legal limits.

Legal, security or technical limitations may affect responses, including statutory duties; national security or defense; public security, public health or major public interests; criminal proceedings and enforcement; evidence of bad faith or abuse; protection of life, property or major interests when consent is difficult to obtain; serious harm to others’ legitimate rights; or trade secrets. Mandatory rights and statutory response deadlines prevail over the general times and limitations stated here.

6. Children’s information

Our products, websites and services are primarily for adults. Children should not create accounts without parental or guardian consent. Although local definitions vary, this policy treats anyone under 14 as a child.

With parental or guardian consent, we store, use or disclose children’s information only where permitted by law, explicitly authorized or necessary to protect the child; otherwise we seek to delete it promptly. Technology and business limitations can make identification difficult. If you believe we collected a child’s information without verified guardian consent, contact us. Once identified, we seek to delete it promptly unless retention is required by law.

7. Storage and international transfers

In principle, information collected and generated within Mainland China is stored there. We retain information only for the necessary purposes and the minimum periods required by law, then delete or anonymize it. Law, public-interest or historical/scientific research purposes or separate authorization may permit longer retention.

Our global resources and servers may require transfers to or access from jurisdictions outside your country or region. We obtain the authorization and consent required by applicable law. Other jurisdictions may have different protections. We implement the protections required by applicable law, including appropriate safeguards, necessary transfer consent or de-identification. The policy’s reference to equivalent protection in Mainland China does not reduce mandatory protections applicable to you elsewhere.

8. Updates to this policy

We will not reduce your rights under this policy without the required explicit consent. Changes are posted here; significant changes receive a more prominent notice. These include changes to service models, processing purposes, data types or uses; ownership or organizational structure; principal recipients of shared, transferred or disclosed information; your rights or their exercise; our information-protection contacts or complaint channels; or a high-risk impact assessment. Previous versions will be archived for review.
